DAY 02: Gorilla tracking Experience.

Following breakfast at the resort, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing from the Uganda wildlife Authority ranger guide who will assign you a gorilla family group to walk that day. Once your group is confirmed—eight people—the two ranger guides will accompany you into the deep, impenetrable jungle to begin your quest for the rare Mountain Gorilla species under threat. From where they were last seen the previous day, the gorilla search always starts. Once you get to the habitat of these well-known species, you will only be able to engage with them for one hour; so, you should always keep maximum silence while among these Gorillas. You are free to photograph and so on.

Depending on the trail that day, which is usually decided by weather and the movement of the gorillas in the forest but given the fact it is extremely well organized activity you have 99% odds of sighting the gorillas on your walk. Gorilla tracking can sometimes be taxing. Advanced trackers who track the gorilla movements all day in the forest will guide the trip; they will know where they nested for the last night and so steer your search. Leading you all through the walk clearing paths, the two ranger guides will create new pathways and share with you knowledge about the mountain gorillas and Bwindi forest. Following the trail, you will return to the starting site to pick your certificates as evidence of effective mountain gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
