Combining gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda with the amazing white water rafting experience on the River Nile in the Eastern area of Jinja, Uganda, our five days Gorillas and White Water Rafting Safari Popularly regarded as the source of the longest river on Earth, the River Nile, is Jinja.

The Safari then drives you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will be able to hike one of the mountain gorilla habituated families. One might also start this journey from Bwindi and finish in Jinja.

  • Day One: Pickup from your Hotel and drive to Jinja to start your 5 Days Gorillas and White Water Rafting Safari.
  • Day Two: White water rafting experience on the Nile River and drive back to Kampala.

DAY 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kampala

You will be greeted upon arrival by your guide at Entebbe Airport who will drive you to Kampala for your overnight stay. The traffic conditions of the day will determine whether you pass through the city center for a quick city tour (not included in the cost and optional) before heading to your overnight lodging property.

Drive time is about one hour.

DAY 02: Golden tracking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, gather at the park headquarters for a briefing on dos and avoid policies on the tracking of golden monkeys from the park rangers. Proceed for the unforgettable forest exercise, which could take one to nine hours depending on the movement of these human cousins. After you will return from the jungle, meet and stay with them for no more than one hour before moving to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

DAY 03: Gorilla tracking Experience

Following breakfast at the resort, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing from the Uganda wildlife Authority ranger guide who will assign you a gorilla family group to walk that day. Once your group is confirmed—eight people—the two ranger guides will accompany you into the deep, impenetrable jungle to begin your quest for the rare Mountain Gorilla species under threat. From where they were last seen the previous day, the gorilla search always starts. Once you get to the habitat of these well-known species, you will only be able to engage with them for one hour; so, you should always keep maximum silence while among these Gorillas. You are free to photograph and so on.

Depending on the trail that day, which is usually decided by weather and the movement of the gorillas in the forest but given the fact it is extremely well organized activity you have 99% odds of sighting the gorillas on your walk. Gorilla tracking can sometimes be taxing. Advanced trackers who track the gorilla movements all day in the forest will guide the trip; they will know where they nested for the last night and so steer your search. Leading you all through the walk clearing paths, the two ranger guides will create new pathways and share with you knowledge about the mountain gorillas and Bwindi forest. You will return to the beginning of the trail to pick your certificates as evidence of effective mountain gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

DAY 04: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Following breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the afternoon; you will have en-route breaks for sightseeing. You will be kindly welcomed and checked in for leisure when you arrive at the hotel; later, you will go for an evening wildlife drive in search of late grazers and return to the Lodge overnight.
With a variety of habitats ranging from grassland, acacia woodland, forests, wetlands and open water this sustains a wide range of mammals with the major ones the Big 4 animals and a remarkable tally of bird life boosting to over 604 bird species Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most popular and varied conservation area.

Four to five hours is the drive time.

DAY 05: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

You will go to Kasenyi plains for an early game drive to hunt early bird species following breakfast. Elephants, big herds of buffalos, leopards, lions, bushbucks, kobs, antelopes, bushbucks and more are among the species you will witness.
Following the cruise return to the resort for leisure, dinner, and overnight stay.

DAY 06: Morning Drive/Visit Katwe Salt Lakes and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

With all your stuff in the car, go a morning game drive across the Mweya Peninsula. You proceed with the Journey back to Kigali following the three hour game drive. Should not be game drive, you can stop for lunch en route on your way to Kibale National Park from Katwe Salt Lakes. You will enjoy a nature stroll across the magnificent Bigodi Swamp sightseeing of the local birds and monkeys on influx.
Popular for birders and fans of monkeys, Kibale Forest National Park boasts 13 species of primates as well as over 335 bird species.

One to two hours are the drive times.

Dinner and overnight at the mountain of the moon hotel, Chimpanzee guest home, Primates Lodge Kibale.

DAY 07: Chimpanzee Tracking

You will then have an early breakfast and be guided to Kanyanchu head offices for a briefing on the route you will be using in a few hours. From there you will begin the Chimpanzee tracking but today you will also be seeing twelve other distinct primate species including baboons, gray cheeked mangabeys and vervet monkeys.

Dinner and overnight at Primates Lodge Kibale, Mountain of the Moon Hotel, Chimpanzee Guest House.

DAY 08: Departure back to Kampala/Entebbe to end your 8 Days Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari.

Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe to finish the trip early in the morning following breakfast.
