DAY 2: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The habituation experience with mountain gorillas will begin with an early morning visit to the park headquarters, where you and other clients will receive a briefing on what to do and what not to do during the day. Following the briefing, you will be led on a hike into the forest by knowledgeable researchers and guides. You may expect to see a variety of forest animals, birds, and primates on your trip. After you’ve spent four hours with the gorillas, you’ll head back to the lodge for the night. If you’re lucky, researchers will ask you to help out with habituating gorillas in various ways, such as collecting samples, identifying group members, making calls, and more. You can just sit back and watch the magic happen.
