Tour Schedule: A Journey Through Loango National Park

Day 1: Radisson Blue Okoume Palace Hotel in Libreville

You will be escorted to your private vehicle for a brief 25-minute transfer to the luxurious Radisson Blu Okoume Palace Hotel after completing immigration formalities. Before retiring for the evening, check in, unwind, and relish a delectable dinner.

Day 2: Libreville – Port Gentil – Loango National Park Ndola Lodge
An early morning flight will convey you to Port Gentil, where you will embark on a thrilling four-hour four-wheel drive journey to Loango via Liambisi. Upon your arrival at approximately midday, undertake a forest walk in Loango National Park to experience a captivating game drive and become engrossed in the park’s natural marvels. Spend the night at Ndola Lodge, which is situated in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 3: Trekking Western Lowland Gorillas in Loango National Park: Ndola – Yatouga – Ndola
Depart Ndola after breakfast for a 2-hour canoe journey to the Yatouga Research Camp, the starting point for an unforgettable gorilla excursion. Explore the Yatouga Forest, which is home to a substantial population of Western Lowland Gorillas. There is a high probability of encountering a habituated gorilla family. Before returning to the research site, spend an hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. Subsequently, proceed to the south to Akaka Forest, a remote region that is abundant with fauna. Finish the day by returning to Ndola Lodge for a delectable dinner.

Ndola – Louri Wilderness Camp on Day 4
During a morning game excursion in Loango National Park, you will have the opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife, such as forest elephants, red river hogs, and dwarf buffaloes. Travel to Louri, an additional captivating region of the park that is renowned for its diverse fauna, following lunch. Enjoy encounters with a variety of species by either sailing or driving through the forest, contingent upon your transportation options. Arrive at Louri Wilderness Camp, where you will spend the night in the park’s natural beauty.

Day 5: Louri Exploration – Ndola Ndola Lodge
Dive into the awe-inspiring marvels of Louri, the savannah region of Loango National Park, which is renowned for its diverse wildlife. Spend the day in the midst of nature, where you will have the chance to observe the renowned “surfing hippos” that have made Loango National Park a global attraction. Immerse yourself in the untamed majesty of Louri Wilderness Camp, a charming tented camp that offers a stunning view of the Louri Lagoon. A tranquil retreat where you can communicate with the rhythms of the natural world is provided by each tent, which is perched on a stilt platform. Return to Ndola Lodge for a peaceful night’s sleep following a day of exploration.

Day 6: Libreville – Port Gentil – Ndola Radisson Blue Okoume Palace Hotel
Begin your final morning excursion in Loango National Park by choosing to embark on a forest hike in the coastal forest in search of wildlife. Depart for Port Gentil via Liambissi after lunch at the lodge. From there, you will board a domestic flight to Libreville in the evening. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed and transported to the Radisson Blu Okoume Palace Hotel for the night, officially concluding your wilderness expedition.

Day 7: Departure and Leisure Day
Spend the day at your discretion at the hotel, where you can participate in optional activities to occupy your time prior to your evening flight with Air France. As you prepare for your departure, contemplate your unforgettable voyage through Gabon’s wilderness.
