Reasons to Visit Uganda

Uganda offers numerous captivating tourist attractions and activities for visitors. The principal attractions and activities in Uganda encompass:
1. Mountain gorilla trekking: Uganda’s gorilla safaris to observe the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park represent the premier travel activity for numerous visitors in Uganda. The Pearl of Africa hosts the largest population of mountain gorillas globally, exceeding 450 individuals, almost half of the world’s total gorilla population. Bwindi Forest accommodates 17 gorilla permits, whereas Mgahinga Park hosts 1 Nyakagyezi Gorilla Family. Uganda is providing reduced gorilla licenses to incentivize increased tourism to see gorillas. The incorporation of Kigali into Bwindi gorilla trekking facilitates a one-day Uganda gorilla trek, enabling short-term guests to experience the endangered gorillas. Gorilla Trek Africa is a reliable safari business for booking permits and organizing customized gorilla tours to Bwindi and Mgahinga Gorilla National Parks. To spend an extended duration (4 hours) with the gorillas, participate in our guided gorilla habituation adventure located in the Rushaga sector, southern Bwindi Forest Park.

2. Chimpanzee trekking: Embark on a walk to observe chimpanzees at Kibale Forest National Park, the primate capital of Africa. Chimpanzees are closely related to humans, sharing more than 99% of their genetic material. The anthropomorphic characteristics of chimpanzees render a meeting with them enchanting. Additional locations to observe chimpanzees in Uganda encompass Cyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Budongo Forest in Murchison Falls National Park, and Kalinzu Forest. Kibale Forest National Park, in addition to chimpanzees, hosts several other primates, including red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and baboons, among others.

3. Game Viewing: Experience guided safaris for wildlife observation in Uganda’s savannah parks. The premier locations for wildlife observation in Uganda comprise Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth, Kidepo Valley, Pian Upe Game Reserve, and Lake Mburo National Park. Morning, evening, and nocturnal game drives provide exceptional vistas of wildlife, including buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, giraffes, topis, elands, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, hippos, and bushbucks, among others.

4. Mountain Climbing: Participate on a mountaineering safari in Uganda to ascend any volcano. The most traversed mountains in Uganda are the snow-capped Mt. Rwenzori, which ranks as the third highest in Africa. Additional volcanoes for hiking in Uganda are Mt. Gahinga, Mt. Sabinyo, and Mt. Muhabura, all situated inside Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

5. Golden Monkey Trekking: Ensure you experience an encounter with the rare golden monkeys during your Uganda tour to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park with Gorilla Trek Africa. Fortunately, the cost of golden monkey trekking is $100, far lower than that of other primates in Uganda.
