Murchison Falls National Park has an area cover of 3840 square kilometers which makes it the largest national park in Uganda and it’s a home to different wildlife species including the big four animals such as elephants, lions, leopards and buffaloes and other animals include hippos, bushbucks, giraffes, warthogs, Jackson’s hartebeest, duikers and Uganda kobs among others. A night game drive in Murchison Falls National Park costs $30 for foreign nonresidents, $20 for foreign residents, and 50,000 UGX for East African citizens if you use a private car. Only cars that are registered in advance can go on night game drives, and you must use guides from the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

BEST TIME TO DO A NIGHT GAME DRIVE IN MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

You can go on game drives any time of the year, but the best times are during the dry season in June, July, August, September, December, January, and February. During these months, there is less rain in the national park, and the short vegetation allows for a better view of nighttime animals. In the dry season, the game drive paths will be dry and easy to travel on, making it simpler for safari vehicles to move around. In contrast, during the wet season, these paths become muddy and slippery.
