Gorilla trekking for pregnant women in Bwindi impenetrable national park.
In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, pregnant women can do gorilla trekking, an amazing experience that entails walking into the tropical jungle to find mountain gorillas and spending an hour with them in their natural environment. There are four areas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where gorilla trekking is conducted: Buhoma in the north, Ruhija in the east, Rushaga in the south, and Kuringo in the south.
Additionally, gorilla trekking is conducted in the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, the Virunga National Park, the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda, and the Kahuzi Biega National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
All visitors over the age of 15, including expectant mothers, are welcome to participate in the daring activity of gorilla trekking. In order for us to plan a comfortable gorilla trekking safari, if you are interested in gorilla trekking while pregnant, please contact us at Experiya Tour Company with the dates you would like to trek the mountain gorillas and the months you are expecting.
Since gorilla trekking is demanding and demands physically fit tourists, we can arrange a gorilla safari in an area that is simple to travel and suggest hiring a porter or a sedan chair if the pregnancy is advanced or if you are not physically fit to trek. However, expectant mothers who are seven months along or older are warned about the dangers of gorilla trekking.
Pregnant women’s gorilla hiking experience
At the park headquarters, gorilla trekking in the impenetrable Bwindi National Park begins early in the morning with a briefing on the expectations, laws, and regulations. Following the briefing, you will begin your two to six-hour jungle trek.
Pregnant ladies are encouraged to speak with their driving guides so they can be assigned to a gorilla family that is close to the hike. You will be permitted to spend an hour with the mountain gorillas in their natural environment after they have been located. This will allow you to see their daily activities, take pictures and movies, and learn about their behaviors.
The ideal time of year to go gorilla trekking
The best time to go gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is during the dry season, which includes June, July, August, September, December, January, and February. This is because the park receives less or no rainfall during this time, making the access roads and gorilla trekking trails dry and suitable for pregnant women to trek on. In contrast, the rainy season makes the trekking trails muddy and slippery, making gorilla trekking challenging.
