In 2007, Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge underwent a metamorphosis from a campsite to a lodge. Since that time, it has served as the epitome of quality lodging in the region, offering a comforting oasis. The unparalleled visitor experience is guaranteed by the dedicated and hospitable staff, which includes front desk personnel, chefs, and security personnel.
The lodge includes 8 garden cottages, 3 villas with 2 superior cottages, and 1 family villa. Each cottage is equipped with a private veranda, a sitting area, and en-suite facilities, all of which are constructed using indigenous materials that are in harmony with the environment.
Nkuringo Walking Safaris, the parent organization of the original campsite, has maintained its dedication to the local community by investing in the lodge’s expansion. Methods for Accessing
The lodge is situated approximately 300 meters from the Nkuringo Visitors’ Centre in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and it is a brief 15-minute walk from the center. It provides visitors with easy access to the Rushaga sector, which enables them to embark on gorilla trekking expeditions.
The journey from Kampala or Entebbe to Kigali takes approximately 10 hours by road, while it takes approximately 7 hours from Kigali. A luxurious alternative is available for a swift air voyage, which involves a 90-minute flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro Airstrip, followed by a seamless transfer to the lodge.
