How to travel to the impenetrable national park of Bwindi
The southwest region of Uganda is home to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is reachable by road. From Kampala, you must go through Masaka, Mbarara, and Kabale before arriving to one of the park’s sectors, which should take nine to ten hours.
It is also possible to reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Kigali, Rwanda. To get there, travelers first fly to Kigali International Airport and then drive for four to five hours to reach the park headquarters via the Katuna border in Kabale or the Cyanika border in Kisoro.
Through scheduled or charter domestic flights from Entebbe International Airport to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrips, you can also reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. From there, you can connect to the park headquarters via road.
