Safari Activities During the Rainy Season

Safari Activities in the Wet Season: While many people prefer to go on wildlife safaris during the dry season because there are various activities available, it’s still possible to have an exciting safari experience during the wet season.

The rainy season runs from March to May and from September to December. During this time, there are many outdoor activities that are best enjoyed. Here are some of them:

Activities to Enjoy During the Rainy Season in Uganda.

Gorilla hiking.

Gorilla trekking is one of the most sought safari activities in the pearl of Africa, and this activity can be carried out from only two major national parks in the republic of Uganda which are; Bwindi impenetrable national park known to be home to over 800 endangered mountain gorilla species trekked within four sectors such as; Nkuringo sector, Buhoma sector, Ruhija sector, Rushaga sector and Mgahinga Gorilla national park.

Actually, gorilla trekking is easier during the wet season than in the dry season. This is because, in the rainy season, mountain gorillas move less and stay in specific areas that they believe are good hiding spots.

Game drives.

Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, and Kidepo National Park are some of the best places for game drive safaris in Uganda. Visitors can see animals like impalas, gazelles, Uganda Kobs, and elands while enjoying these safari activities.

Making Game Drives is one of the safari activities that can be done in the rainy season whereby tourists will always capture classic views of the savannah lands and the green lush vegetation.

Sightseers can also pair this safari action with other activities in the area, like watching wildlife.
